Pinner's Conference

This weekend was the bomb dot com!  My mother-in-law got my two sisters-in-law and I tickets to go to the Pinner's Conference this weekend.  For those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically Pinterest in real life.  There were a bunch of booths selling things ranging from crafts and clothes to workout items and emoji pillows (yeah...).  We also attended classes that we pre-registered for online weeks before the conference, and they were, for the most part, informative and/or fun!  There were  a couple of classes that were duds that we just walked out of haha.  My top 3 favorite classes that I attended were:
1. Calligraphy: we learned how to use those calligraphy markers to do modern calligraphy... you can see my practicing down below.
2. Slat board craft: We made a cute sign to put in our homes.  You can see my finished product down below.
3. Pinterest fashion to fit your body type: I wasn't sure about this class, but there weren't any other classes going on during that hour that sounded interesting, so I decided to try this one.  It ended up being so informative!  The presenter is Alicia Richmond (?), but apparently she's been on Good Morning Utah and on other daytime TV channels and is on the Macy's board for fashion.  She talked to us about loving our body types and how to find clothing to accentuate our features, rather than hide underneath our clothing.  She also talked about clothing that works with certain body types, and clothes that don't work with certain body types.  Did you know that when shopping for pants, you look at the zipper length to find the best fit?  I sure didn't!

Day 1
Terrible picture.  I know.
Waiting in line to get in.
In our first class.  It was one of the duds.  Not that it was a bad class, but it wasn't applicable to me.
Practicing my calligraphy strokes
My slat board decoration--super fun to make!

Day 2

Learning how to make crepes with Our Best Bites
Yeah... I was not made to create watercolor floral designs.
Got my one nail done for free at a booth hahahaha.  It looked terrible!!!
Got to test out some chalk color in our hair
