The Surprise

I was wrong.  But only because Robert lied about the time... sorta.  He said the surprise was a two hour drive, but he didn't mention it was both ways.  So really it was only an hour drive to our surprise destination: City Creek Center.  Except I thought we were just eating there because he said the place we were going to eat dinner at was the halfway point to the surprise.  Lie #2.  So we got to the mall, and I asked him where we were eating.  He had said "some place special", but when we got there, his answer was, "I dunno, what do you wanna eat?"  We went to check out the Brazilian barbeque place, but it was $42ish... per plate.  I didn't wanna blow $84+ on dinner, so we settled on the Food Court.  We ate Italian, and it was very good.  Afterwards, Robert took me shopping to find me a Mother's Day gift (I know, I'm not a mom yet, but I'm already playing the part right? After all, I have Robert to watch.  Hehe) and we found our mothers gifts as well.  This is what I ended up buying:
Robert insisted I buy me this hat because I looked like a "drop-dead gorgeous bombshell" with it on.  I'm still kinda iffy on it (I've never been one to wear hats... my ears pop out and look weird, so I tuck them inside the hat).
Then he wanted to buy me a shirt to go with it (either a white collared shirt, or this one, which is also blue-and-white striped).

I love my husband :) He likes to spoil me and I like his surprises. The End.
