Mawwage

This'll be the 6th month Robert and I have been married!  It's crazy how fast time goes by.  Before we know it, we'll have our 1st anniversary together!  Craziness.  So what have I learned these past 6 months?

• Robert and I have different ways of doing things.  These things didn't matter during the dating phase, but somehow all of a sudden mattered when we started living together.  These are some of the littlest things like how much money you spend and what you spend it on, the times you go to bed, how much toilet paper you use in one sitting, how much shampoo you squeeze out of the shampoo bottle, the types of snacks you buy at the grocery store, etc.  These aren't necessarily bad things, they're just different than what we're used to.
• Most of marriage is about sacrifice.  I like to read, but I have to do it when Robert is at work or I read during my free time at work because he wants me to spend time with him when he's around.  When we were dating, I didn't like how he drank straight out of the milk jug because of the backwash (and germs... most of the things Robert sacrifices for me are things "germ" related), so he doesn't do that in our house.  Robert and I have to sacrifice how we spend our time to do what the other wants eg. I want to go to bed when he wants to watch a movie, so sometimes I will stay up and watch a movie with him or he will skip the movie and go to bed with me (we like to go to bed together).
• Along with sacrifice, marriage is about service.  There will be mornings when Robert will make breakfast for me, and I for him (ha, I think I only did that once... Robert likes to step in when I cook, but that time I told him to beat it!  Haha jk I didn't say it like that.  Robert also gives me back scratches and I give him back massages.  I have even put foot cream on his feet because his toes were all scratched up from the pool's tiles.
• Robert's imperfect, and after being married, my own flaws have been magnified for me to be able to really notice and improve on my weaknesses.  Some of these are magnified as I interact with Robert, as I look at the house and think, "my mom doesn't live here to keep the house tidy", and as I spend my time.  I see things Robert does that I wish I could improve on or do more of.

These are just a few of the things I have learned.  I am sure there are more, but these are the ones that came to my mind as I sat here typing them up.

Well, I have been able to keep myself occupied at work for the past 2 days as I played with my blog a bit.  I got me a new layout (I thought it was cute as I browsed through layouts online), and I figured out how to have cute handwriting used for things such as the date, the title of the post, and the other titles in my blog.  I also learned how to use cute handwriting throughout the entire blog, but decided not to incorporate it into my own because it makes your blog load slower.  Anyways.  I am done playing with my blog for a while.
