Bachelorette Night

Every Monday night "The Bachelorette" is on TV.  I have been watching episodes with Emily (and her husband Howard, and once Robert because he works some Monday nights), and last night we decided to eat pho and watch "The Bachelorette".

 It was delicious.  Robert's not a fan of pho so we don't eat it that much :(  I was way full after eating it, but I loved every bite! :9 (I looked online for the emoticon that says "yummy" when you eat things, and that is what I found... I guess the 9 is your tongue licking your lips.)  After eating pho and watching "The Bachelorette" and right after Robert arrived, Emily and I made the unicorn poop cookies (famous on Pinterest).

 Oops... looks like the unicorns weren't the only ones that made a mess on our baking sheet... Hehe

Unfortunately, they didn't taste as good as they look (well, poop doesn't look appetizing in the first place, but unicorn poop is different).  Robert and I could taste cumin powder inside (no, we didn't put cumin powder in the cookies), which was weird.  They weren't disgusting but they weren't my favorite cookies.  Apparently they're supposed to be sugar cookies but that's not what they tasted like. Emily was thinking the neon food coloring changed the taste, but I'm not sure... I sampled the batter before the dye was put in and it was super salty.  But then again, I could have taken a sample from a spot that wasn't stirred in very well.  I am not sure I'll make these ever again.  They were hard to make (the dough broke apart very easily) and they didn't taste very good.  But who knows... that batch was just a trial batch.
