Memorial Day Weekend

To start off the 3 day weekend, Robert and I went camping up Hobble Creek Canyon with his family.

Robert was hacking away at wood and some of the wood flipped up and opened his head up.  The wound doesn't look too bad but he was gushing blood.  We did the typical camping stuff... made smores, sat by the campfire, went hiking, etc.

This is what we did on Saturday:

It was a pretty good movie.  I'm not usually into sports movies, but it was inspirational and funny at times.
I don't remember what else we did on Saturday.  Probably slept outside on the grass.

Sunday was a day of rest... and games.  We went to my grandparent's house and played "Celebrity", and then a couple of mind/pattern games.  Later that night we went back (we were there earlier for dinner) to Robert's parents house and played "Monopoly Millionaire" with his siblings and his mom.

Yesterday was a day of errands, yard work and napping.  We went over to my grandparent's house again and played a game of croquet and "Zilch"

It was a relaxing weekend.  Just what I needed!  Just kidding.  My life isn't too busy and stressful right now with school being out.  But it was nice not having to go to work.

Here Comes the Sun

This weekend I got to get some sun in from sitting out and watching some rugby with Robert.  Besides getting sticky and sweaty from the sun, it just feels so relaxing and I love it!  I know I'm getting tan when my white birthmark starts to show up (yeah... a white birthmark... weird. Usually they're like, purple or something).  I was gonna take a picture but I'm not dark enough.  Maybe next time...

I'm Lovin' It

Not McDonald's, but I'm loving my new Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer.  First of all, I just cannot get over the smell!  I sprayed it on hours ago and my hair still smells delicious!  Also, this heat protector was pretty cheap, especially for its size.  I got an 8 fl. oz. bottle for about $3, while bottles smaller than that went for like $7.  Ridiculous.  I also found the spray nozzle pretty shnazzy... a little difficult to use at first cuz I wasn't used to it, but once I got used to it, I love it!  The spray is light and doesn't weigh your hair down or leave it feeling greasy or nasty.  My hair feels super soft and not as frizzy.  I was using Chi as my heat protector before, but even after using it to straighten my hair, the hairs on the back of my head looked frizzy and unhealthy (you could see split ends pretty easily).  After using this stuff, my hair looks more healthy (granted there are still billions of split ends... I need a trim hehe).

I got a couple of requests for more celeb hairstyles on me, and I wanted to try some other hairstyles so here they are:

Yeah I tried to whiten my skin but it whitened the whole thing... looks kinda strange.

Sandra's hair.  Hm... maybe I'll cut my hair?

I'm just getting tired of my hair and want to do something different with it.  Maybe I'll play around with Photoshop more and see what options I have.  But at the same time I would be too scared.  Scared that it wouldn't turn out the way I wanted it to.  Scared that I will regret it and I'd have to live with the hair for a while.  But we'll see.

Photoshop Fun

So a few weeks ago I learned how to use the masking tool on Photoshop (thanks Google!) so I've been practicing.  I got this idea from my boss because she makes birthday posters for people in the office and she uses the masking tool.  How is this tool useful?  No clue.  But it's fun haha.

Finally!!!

Finals are over!  Now I get a nice long break before fall semester.  Well, I'll have work all day but at least I don't have to come home to homework right?

Good times.  Good times.  I love just looking back and remembering, whether it's through pictures or just rereading my journals.  Not that I dwell in the past.  It's just fun.
